Disclaimers and Ground Rules

1. This is a blog that I made for fun. It contains my own opinions, travel stories, recommendations and things that worked for me. It's not official advice, like the kind you might get from embassies, or from doctors or other professionals. Check with official government sites for things like visa requirements and rules for what you can bring to customs.

2. If I share anything about my medical journey or health related, it is me sharing my experience, opinion or things I learned. It is not medical advice. Talk to your doctor, nurse or other licensed health care professional for medical advice.

3. I am only one person speaking from my experience and perspective. Everyone's experience is going to be different, even if they are spending time in the same place or from the same community. Think of how differently people in the same family or friend group experience the same vacation. Also, sometimes years may have passed since I visited a place.

4. Although I share my personal perspective as a female traveler of color, I can't speak for all women, all people of color, or all people who are Filipino, American, or both. You get the picture.

5. Along those lines, what works for me might not necessarily work for you. Everyone is different.

6. I research things like train connections the best I can but I am human and make mistakes sometimes, or things change. Caveat emptor.

7. Keep comments classy and constructive.

8. If I link to other pages, I am not responsible for the content or opinions or anything else on those pages.

9. I don't run ads, and I don't get money from anything I post. I also don't have sponsorships. If I recommend or speak highly of something it's because I like it. All opinions are my own.

10. This blog is a labor of love. I wrote all the content for this website. I took the pictures unless otherwise noted. I did not use generative AI to create any part of this blog or site.

11. You can link to this blog and quote excerpts from it as long as you give credit and say where you got it. If you want to republish a post or page in its entirety (or almost its entirety), ask me first.

12. Ask in the comments before using photos that I took, and give credit for those as well.

13. Ask before you use content from this blog to train or do anything with generative AI, including Large Language Models (LLMs).

14. What I mean when I say "Fueled by the Holy Spirit and ADHD":
I attribute a lot of my hyperfocus and love of traveling and going down research rabbit holes to ADHD. If I've written anything that's good and makes sense, I chalk that up to the Holy Spirit plus me applying my human intellect and what I learned in journalism class.
